Bando

ArtWork by Jeff Bando

I am an abstract artist working primarily with acrylics on canvas. I am inspired by music, the human condition, and the beauty of our natural world. These elements come together in my work in a kind of non-linear visual math. My pieces are like intricate puzzles when I put them together. I feel if you are able to easily digest what I create, then I have failed you as an artist.

Fall/Winter 2025

With Fall returning, the cloudy skies and cooler air have pulled my brush towards a more muted color palette this season. Varied hues of tan, brown, and blue create a connection to our world’s most basic elements. I’m fascinated by how alive these elements become in the presence of more electric colors, even in small amounts. The interplay is such a delight!

Spring/Summer 2024

I’ve found boundless energy to pour into my canvases this season. Wild colors and shapes fill my mind and burst forth when I wake each morning. I love 80’s New Wave music and my brush has been pulsing to the sound of Information Society, Tears for Fears, The Human League and Yaz. They were all exciting and innovative bands… opinionated, unapologetic in their sound, and unconstrained by convention– something I try to channel in every piece I create.
